The Start of My Miracle Morning Journey

For the new year I’ve decided to take on the Miracle Morning methodology to see if it will work for me and help me achieve more of my goals in a shorter amount of time. I’m on my 4th day already and it’s been quite an adjustment, so I’m starting to journal my progress here in the hopes it will help.

The Miracle morning practice consists of 6 practices using the Acronym Life S.A.V.E.R.S. You are encourage to adjust the order and time allotment for each, so this is just a starting recommendation until you find your own system that works for your individual situation.

  • S – Silence/meditation – (5 minutes)
  • A – Affirmations – (5 minutes)
  • V – Visualisation – (5 minutes)
  • E – Exercising – (20 minutes)
  • R – Reading – (20 minutes)
  • S – Scribing – (5 minutes)

This is what my morning routine looks like now. It’s not perfected yet, and I’m sure this will always be adjusting, I go over here and there and generally run about 5-10 minutes behind due to the fact that I’m still trying to get my bearings:

  • 5:30AM – Alarm goes off
  • 5:45AM– Coffee & Woodstove Ignition
  • 6:00AM – Meditation – Eyes closed, breath in deeply, hold the breath, exhale. Each step to the count of 4. (5 min)
  • 6:05AM – Read selected Affirmations (10 min)
  • 6:15AM – Visualize my goals  (5 min)
  • 6:20AM – Journal – Writing down what I’m grateful for – (10 min)
  • 6:30AM – Read for 30 minutes in my current self help/business book – (30 min)
  • 7:00AM – Exercise – P90X3 workout of the day. these are 30 minute routines but the whole process including cool-down takes longer (45 min)
  • 7:45AM – Shower and dress
  • 8:00AM – Sit down at my office, eat breakfast & work on side business projects – (1-2 hours)
  • 9/10:00AM – Start fulltime client workday

I eventually want to get to a 4:40 am alarm.. 5:30 is already proving to be quite enough of a challenge, but I’ll get there. I think this is one of the main reasons I’m struggling so much out of the gate. This is about a 3 hour shift which is feeling quite abrupt and could be a shock to this night owl’s system.

Personal benefits that I hope will arise:

  • Help me live a fuller life
  • Be more grateful and thankful for what I have
  • focus on what’s important

Professional benefits that I hope will arise:

  • Help me leave my fulltime job and be able to live from the sales of my own art
  • Build my business
  • Achieve the power of producing daily
  • Be more productive and consume less- content creator vs content consumer
  • work all the time I work
