Understanding Kurtz
This was a quick cartoon I did for a little activity over at Scott McCloud's message board a while back. It's a topic over seven pages long that illustrates what else Scott McCloud understands besides comics. For those of you not familiar, it's referring to his brilliant book: Understanding Comics which I highly recommend to any visual artist. I was rummaging through my older stuff and came accross it and thought it was post-worthy. I'm pleased with how the expression of Scott Kurtz turned out. Fun stuff, yes indeedy.

“Understanding Comics” is a great academic acheivement but i think the book people should be looking for is “Making Comics”. You can buy it at any art store. It’s an 8 1/2 x 11 book full of stark white pages. You can find it in the “sketchbook” section. ;)
