Dizzy Gillespie Portrait

Dizzy Gillespie portrait drawing Sketch
Something a little different this morning in celebration of the "Jazz" topic over at Illustration Friday. It's one of my favorites... a pencil portrait drawing of jazz legend Dizzy Gillespie. I found some great Dizzy Gillespie photos at my library a while back so I drew one. Enjoy! If you're interested in getting a print of this piece contact me here and I'll send you the details.

Wow. I have only emotion that cannot be replicated in speech, but it can be approached by saying “Wow.”

what an absolutely beautiful rendition. captures a sense of nobility, or dignity at least.
