Red Sox - World Series Champions!
WooHOO! Congrats to the Boston Red Sox and Sox fans everywhere...we deserve this! I'm not sure what's more surprising... the fact that the Red Sox finally won the World Series or how easy they made beating the Cardinals look. Just awesome.
It's a strange feeling but I was much more pumped over the Yankees series than this one... THAT was our World Series. Seems like if they could get past the Yankees, they could beat anyone, and they proved that by shutting down the team with the best record in all of baseball this year in four games.
The best part of this whole thing is yet to come. That day will be on Aprill 11th , the Sox home opener where the World Series rings will be passed out and the World Series championship flag will be raised at Fenway Park.
Guess who we'll be playing on that historic day? That's right... the New York Yankees.
It doesn't get much better than this folks.
