Great work. Always enjoy your videos fitz. Keep them going. Cheers!
Thanks very much Radu, more videos to come next week!
This is great! May I know what software you’re using to draw? Freehand, Illustrator, or photoshop? Thank you.
Leo
Leo, I use Adobe Flash for most of my vector work but sometimes I’ll use a combination of both Adobe Illustrator and Flash.
cool as. thanks for the vid.
Nice work fitzy. I was wondering where you were going at the start – I was struggling to see the resemblance of a face. I seriously need to get into flash…I’ve only worked in illustrator. Have you found flash easier? Is that why you mainly use it?
Cheers in advance for the feedback.
I also agree with drawing in Flash is much easier than drawing in Illustrator mainly because of the line tool and also the ways to create shading and highlights.
The pain starts when you need to prepare your drawings for print. Prior to CS4 you could export a Flash to .ai or .eps . Once you import the .ai file into AI you realize the colors are very different from the ones in Flash. On the other hand once you import your .eps file into AI you’ve notice the colors are quite good however the drawing somehow gets “destroyed” over the conversion. The appearance is fine, it’s just the lines and the curves get somehow broken.
Hope that helps
If you guys know any workarounds from getting the flash drawing into AI keeping the colors and the lines intact please share.
