The pencil I use for the basic rough sketch is a <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000093L6M?ie=UTF8&tag=thanksfornuth-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B000093L6M" rel="nofollow">Col-Erase colored pencil by Prismacolor (20044 Blue)</a>. I sometimes use <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000P9JBEC?ie=UTF8&tag=thanksfornuth-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B000P9JBEC" rel="nofollow">red too</a> but I seem to have settled down comfortably with the blues. They are nice to use because after you draw the final sketch over the blues with a darker pencil or pen... you can remove the blue lines entirely by editing the color channel in <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NDIBYG?ie=UTF8&tag=thanksfornuth-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B000NDIBYG" rel="nofollow">Adobe Photoshop</a>... then you just have the dark lines left. This technique is fairly new to me, I started using it this past year and it's working well. I no longer have to use my light table nearly as much which is nice because I never liked have multiple pieces of paper for the same drawing. The darker pencil I use is a very soft graphite <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00006RVSK?ie=UTF8&tag=thanksfornuth-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00006RVSK" rel="nofollow">Sanford Design Ebony (Jet Black Extra smooth 14420)</a>.
