Book Illustrator – Clutter

By Fitz • 9/5/2008 • Filed in: Illo Friday, Illustration

Try de-cluttering this old book illustrator fogey. this was an article illustration done a while back on old timers having a hard time making the leap into the digital age. I thought the scrolls & 10 commandments were a nice touch. :) Inspired to post by IF's topic this week which is "Clutter."

A wonderful illustration. My ‘old-timer’ is extremely computer literate and his desk still looks like this! ‘Paperless office’; Ha!

I used do a lot of cartoon drawing, the detail in the shadow really makes the image come alive.

Great illustration. Love the detail put into it, like the shadows, plus the ten commandments and the scrolls were definitely a nice touch :).

Nice work. I wish I knew how to this kind of illustrating. My mom is the artist in the family, and I never managed to get past “stick figures”. I guess we all can’t have the gift. :-)

Impressive! I could see this illustration was given some careful thought especially in the area of highlight and shadow.

Well selected colors cause excellently that it is realistic by its own way. But I have to say, this picture makes me a little bit sad.
